Personal Banking Transition Checklist
Key dates and tips for a smooth transition.

Making the move to a new banking system can be confusing. This timeline and checklist will help you follow the process to be sure we’ve got the details covered.


Before March 20, 2026:

  • Thoroughly Review the Personal Transition Guide Learn more
  • Update your email address and phone number in the HomeStreet.com Personal Online Banking system, call us at 719.8080 M-F 8am - 6pm, Sat. 9am - 5pm (PT) OR stop by your local branch
  • Download Quicken and any other third-party financial software information.
  • Download account statements and tax documents.
    • Access to your transaction history, historical statements and tax documents may be limited when you login on March 23, 2026.
  • For incoming wire transfers dated after Friday, March 20, 2026, please notify senders to use Mechanics Bank’s routing and transit number: 121102036. For outgoing wires, please visit your local branch to complete the transfer.
  • Download your Zelle transaction history before March 20, 2026. This information will not be available in the new system.

On Thursday, March 12, 2026:

  • If your HomeStreet Personal Online Banking account is set up to receive electronic invoices from a third party, such as a utility company, request future invoices be sent through a different method (e.g. hard copy mail, to your email box). Those invoices will no longer be transmitted to your homestreet.com online banking system after March 12, 2026.

On Wednesday, March 18, 2026:

  • This will be the last day you can pay bills via the HomeStreet Mobile Banking app. This service will end after 9pm (PT).

On Thursday, March 19th, 2026:

  • Make a note that after 3pm (PT), you will no longer be able to pay bills via the HomeStreet Online Bill Pay service using a desktop or laptop computer. Any bills that you set up before 3pm (PT) on this day, to be paid on future dates will be paid as you have scheduled them.

     

  • At 5pm (PT), ACH origination services will end.
  • After 9pm (PT), access to the HomeStreet mobile banking app will be turned off.

On Friday, March 20th, 2026:

  • If you are planning to use wire services, please do so before 3pm (PT).
  • If you are planning to make any external transfers, please do so before 3pm (PT).
  • If you are planning to make any internal transfers between your HomeStreet accounts, please do so before 5pm (PT).
  • After 5pm (PT), access to homestreet.com Personal Online banking and the HomeStreet automated 24-hour banking phone line ends.
  • If you’re aware of incoming wire transfers into your HomeStreet account after today, be sure to provide the sender with the Mechanics Bank routing number: 121102036.
  • Branches will close at 5pm (PT).
  • You may wish to use alternate payment sources or withdraw extra cash to have over the weekend.

During conversion weekend: March 21 & 22, 2026:

  • Make note that any online or mobile banking via the HomeStreet system will not be available.
  • The HomeStreet Automated 24-hour banking phone line and the customer care number at 800.719.8080 will both be offline.

On or after Monday, March 23, 2026:

  • Continue to use your HomeStreet-branded ATM, Debit and Credit Cards with the Visa® logo.
  • Continue to use your HomeStreet-branded checks.
  • Re-establish card controls, alerts and ebills in Online Banking.
  • Enroll in MechanicsBank.com Online Banking Plus. Helpful instructions are available here or review our helpful online tutorials. Your UserID and passwords remain the same, although you will be prompted to create a new password. 
  • Once online, review your bill pay profile to ensure your payments are on track. Check to be sure your scheduled payments are in order and resolve, as needed.
  • Validate the internal, external and any recurring transfers. Adjust, as needed.
  • Download the Mechanics Bank Mobile Online Banking Plus app from your app store. Be sure you download the correct app. Look for “MB Plus” with a white square with the gold icon.
  • Re-establish account alerts.
  • Re-enroll in text banking.
