For more than a century, we’ve made innumerable individual contributions to local nonprofit organizations and, today, are honored to be listed among the top 50 Corporate Philanthropists in our markets.
That said, our community commitment extends beyond financial support. We make strategic business decisions to ensure we can remain a trusted business partner for years to come, starting by taking local accountability. We may have grown substantially, but many of our decisions are made on the local level, by employees who are your neighbors and friends. We grow strategically, making sure we’re big enough to meet all our clients’ needs but small enough that your local branch staff knows you by name. And your deposit dollars also stay local, often reinvested into the economy in the form of loans to help local businesses grow and create local jobs.
Finally, when we’re not delivering top-notch service to our clients, we’re volunteering in our communities. Mechanics Bank employees support more than 50 community-based organizations by contributing hundreds of volunteer hours each year.
